Palm City Dentistry is Hiring a Certified Dental Assistant Near Palm, FL

We are looking to welcome a dental assistant who would like to join our work family. After your 3 month probation period, we offer the above-mentioned benefits along with production bonuses, uniforms, & a once a month medical stipend.

We are considering a dental assistant who has completed their expanded functions certification. Someone who will fit in with our amazing team and who can join the efficiency of our practice.

The dental assistant will ensure excellent patient care, dental duties, & basic administrative tasks. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to come to work on time, be reliable, follow instructions and respect dental office regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental assisting procedures
  • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups while ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
  • Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist and be open to being re-directed if need be
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed, if necessary
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
  • Assist with necessary front office tasks (eg: schedule appointments, greet patients, answering phones, etc..)
  • Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

  • Experience as a dental assistant
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Knowledgeable of HIPPA Regulations
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
  • Good computer skills (Dentrix Software)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
  • Bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
